BICSI Signs with Pearson Vue for Computer-Based Testing

BICSI, the association supporting the information technology systems (ITS) industry with information, education and knowledge assessment, is pleased to announce that it has signed with Pearson VUE, the computer-based testing business of Pearson, to deliver BICSI’s eight credentialing examinations, including its cornerstone credential, the Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).

The exams will be transitioned from paper-and-pencil delivery to computer-based testing and will be available globally throughout the Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center network of more than 4,500 sites in 165 countries. Computer-based delivery of the Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC) exam will begin in February 2012, with the remaining exams to follow.

PCATT/Honolulu CC offers the four BICSI Installer courses and is the training location for classroom courses delivered by BICSI to the fiber and cabling technicians and design specialists on Oahu. PCATT/Honolulu CC is also a VUE Testing Center and is excited about delivering the BICSI credentialing exam.
